My Story

I have considered myself decently healthy and fit my whole life.
When I hit my 40s, my mind and body began to change. I started feeling more stressed in the morning and exhausted in the evening. My mind was racing through my daily to-dos and full-time work. I felt my mental capacity declining as I started losing sleep. I kept at this unrealistic pace for a few years, until I felt I was only living for the weekend and cycled all over again starting Mondays. Shockingly, an in-depth panel of my bloodwork and hormone levels revealed I was 5 years older than my actual age.
I simply didn't understand why I felt I couldn't manage my life in my 40s, like I did when I was in my 30s.
I thought on it long and hard and decided I needed to give myself a legit health break and left my stressful job.

I soon realized, I still wasn't able to slow down as much as I thought I could. My mind and body were trained to the chronic stress and pace I had kept for so many years. I was thinking, "What's wrong with me?" I opened my mind and started listening to podcasts and reading books to better understand health. Times had changed with mental, fitness and nutrition health over the last 10 years. I felt as if a new bright light was shining down on me.
I started taking action and making holistic nutrition and lifestyle changes. I slowly and surely cut drinking alcohol, processed foods, and technology use. I added more whole foods and natural supplements. I started fasting and scheduled times I worked, ate and exercised. I started spending more time with my good friends, developed new friendships, and rekindled old friendships. I added sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, Zone 2 cardio, strength training, stretching/yoga, prayer, meditation, massage, and breath-work.
Sound like a lot? It wasn't AND it created more calmness, happiness and space in my life.
I adopted living for longevity, thriving in the present - happier, healthier and stronger than ever before.
